Flow 2

The Narwal Flow 2 is a smart robot vacuum and mop that cleans your entire home on its own. It sucks up dust, dirt, and pet hair with powerful 31,000Pa suction, then mops with a self-cleaning roller that washes itself in hot water as it goes. With AI cameras, it smartly avoids obstacles like shoes, cables, and toys — so you just set it and forget it.

FAQ

What information should I collect before escalating a support ticket? +

Order number or proof of purchase, the device serial number (found on the bottom of the Flow 2), and the troubleshooting steps already tried, ideally with photos. Getting this upfront avoids a back-and-forth and speeds up L2/L3 escalation.

How much maintenance does Flow 2 need? +

Regular maintenance includes emptying the dustbin, cleaning the brushes and filters, checking for tangled hair or debris, and keeping the sensors and charging contacts clean. The base station handles mop washing/drying automatically, but the dustbin, water tanks, and detergent still need periodic manual attention.

What's in the box, and what accessories may need replacing over time? +

For the standard Freo/Flow-family kit: power cord, cleaning hook, floor cleaner bottle, mopping modules, side brushes, and filter sponges are included, with additional accessories purchasable separately. Side brushes, filters, and mop pads are the most common consumables customers ask about replacing.

Does Flow 2 handle carpets well? +

Mostly yes, with a caveat on deep-pile carpet. A pressure-assisted cover plate at the roller-brush inlet engages once carpet is detected, creating a seal that boosts suction to pull dust from carpet fibers. That said, some users report the Flow 2 struggles specifically with deep-pile carpet, similar to the original Flow. If a customer reports this, it's a known limitation, not necessarily a defect.

What's the suction power? +

Flow 2 carries an official 31,000 Pa suction rating.

Why won't my Flow 2 connect to WiFi / it keeps disconnecting? +

This is one of the most common general troubleshooting calls. Standard steps: confirm the router is on 2.4GHz (most Narwal models don't support 5GHz-only networks), restart the robot and the router, and reconnect via the Narwal Freo app. Resetting the cleaning map in the app can also help if the robot repeatedly disconnects mid-clean.

Why does the map show the wrong floor type, or the robot avoids an area it shouldn't? +

If a hard floor gets mistakenly identified as carpet, the error can persist until manually corrected — the map doesn't always auto-update. Advise customers to manually edit the floor-type/carpet zones in the app rather than waiting for it to self-correct.

How does the self-cleaning mop system work? +

Flow 2 uses a rolling track mop that refreshes itself with flowing water in real time as it cleans, rolling dirt away while cleaning itself, with 140°F hot water to break down tougher stains. This is Narwal's FlowWash system.

What's different about Flow 2 compared to the original Narwal Flow? +

The biggest change is the AI system. Flow 2 introduces NarMind Pro, a vision-language AI, while the original Flow uses dual RGB cameras with an onboard chip that matches obstacles against a trained object library. Flow 2 also has stronger suction and smarter cleaning modes over the original.

How good is Flow 2's obstacle avoidance? +

It uses TwinAI Obstacle Avoidance with what Narwal calls unlimited object recognition. Independent testing found it uses a Visual Language Model with dual HD cameras and a 10-TOPS AI processor that can recognize a very wide range of objects, detect items as small as 5mm, and even locate things like keys and wallets, avoiding 20 of 24 obstacles in that test.
